Reflection for the Week

Acts begins with Jesus ascending to heaven and promising that His followers will be filled with power to carry His mission forward. That promise is fulfilled at Pentecost, and the church is born. It is not born out of strategy or strength, but by the Spirit of God. This new community—marked by courage, generosity, and unity—spreads the good news of Jesus, even as persecution increases. The gospel crosses boundaries, transforms lives, and begins to reach the nations. We are part of that same story today, called to live by the same Spirit and proclaim the same risen King.
